  • 1967 - Helmut Hund founded the company at the age of 17. His first product was an initial current limiter for electric motors
  • 1972 - Helmut Hund KG was founded with Jürgen Herzog as limited partner. With the development and manufacturing of the electronic components for the Minox camera, the company experienced its first period of rapid growth
  • 1978 - Founding of Verolum Fiber Optics in Schöffengrund-Schwalbach
  • 1979 - Founding of Geotherm Heating Engineering GmbH in Wetzlar
  • 1980 - Founding of UEG GmbH in Wetzlar
  • 1981 - Takeover of Niebch Precision Mechanics in Wetzlar
  • 1984 - 85 employees of company Herzog were incorporated into the already existing Helmut Hund GmbH 
  • 1988 - With the takeover of Will Wetzlar GmbH, the number of employees exceeded the level of 400
  • 1992 - The mass-produced Optics of Helmut Hund GmbH was sold to the stiffest competitor
  • 2000 - Helmut Hund GmbH sold Geotherm Heating Engineering GmbH by a Managment-Buy-Out  http://www.geotherm-linden.net
