Quality assurance of our fiber-optic products is carried out in accordance with DIN 58141.

The production tests comprise the following criteria:

• Measurement of the single-fiber diameter,
• Determination of the smallest bending radius of both single fiber and fiber bundle, 
• Tribological tests of the fiber surface (fiber lubricant / cladding)
• Tests regarding autoclavability and heat resistance, 
• Determination of fiber breackage rate,
• Measurement of transmission and aperture 

Our fiber lubricants are completely safe to use and represent no health hazard. They are developed and documented in the framework of our environmental certification according to DIN ISO 14001.

The dedicated lubricant compositions meet the particular requirements of medical technology and correspond to the Standard for Medical Devices (DIN EN ISO 13485).
